The Costa del Sol has seen far more viewing appointments than usual with the rate of sales being double than the normal over the last few months, in particular the high end of the property market has seen significant growth. Properties over a million, and particularly anything over three million, is selling very quickly. The typical Costa del Sol clients are self-employed or in employed positions that allow more flexibility over travel, and with stronger finances than most.
Marbella is not so dependent on British demand as other areas of Spain although still sees its share of high-net-worth clients arriving from the UK, Malaga airport is also better connected to flights throughout Europe which allows greater volumes of European visitors to the Costa del Sol.
With a significant number of high-end properties offered along the Costs del Sol coastline, higher end property sales are driving the rest of market higher.
